Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms of Service is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users when using the services provided by Teacher’s Hub.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- 1. Member: An individual who has provided personal information to Teacher’s Hub and completed the registration process. Members are entitled to receive ongoing services from Teacher’s Hub and have continuous access to the services provided by Teacher’s Hub.
- 2. Member ID: A combination of letters and numbers selected by the member and approved by Teacher’s Hub. It is used to verify membership and facilitate access to services, while ensuring members' confidentiality.
- 3. Password: A combination of letters and numbers set by the member to confirm their identity in conjunction with their member ID and to ensure the protection of their confidentiality.
- 4. Personal Information: Information related to a living individual that can identify that person through details such as name, contact information, email, date of birth, etc. (This includes information that may not, on its own, identify a specific individual but can be easily combined with other information to do so.)
- 5. Resume: Basic information that can identify users, including name, photo, contact information, educational background, work experience, and other skills and qualifications, which is prepared by members themselves in accordance with the requirements set forth by Teacher’s Hub.
- 6. Post: Content provided by Teacher’s Hub through creation, collection, or any other means, as well as information, symbols, text, various files, and links posted by a "member" while using the "service" on the "service platform."
- 7. Data: Various types of information, materials, and posts collected and accumulated by Teacher’s Hub in the course of providing its services.
Article 3 (Application of Terms and Supplementary Rules)
These Terms of Service apply to the use of Teacher’s Hub services. For matters not specified in these Terms or for the interpretation of these Terms and matters not covered by them, the provisions of the Telecommunications Basic Act, the Telecommunications Business Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Personal Information Protection Act, and other relevant laws or customary practices will apply.
Chapter 2: Service Usage Agreement
Article 4 (Formation of the Service Agreement)
- 1. To become a member of Teacher’s Hub and receive the services provided by Teacher’s Hub, an individual must complete the membership registration process. Prospective users of the service can review the content of these Terms and choose whether to agree. By clicking the Agree button, they are deemed to have consented to these Terms. In the event of changes to the Terms, if you do not agree with the revised Terms as announced, you may contact the Customer Support Center to cancel your membership registration.
- 2. The service agreement is established when a prospective user agrees to the Terms of Service and submits a service application, which is then accepted by Teacher’s Hub through an indication of approval during the application process.
- 3. Teacher’s Hub may request identity verification and authentication through a specialized institution.
Article 5 (Application for Use)
- 1. Individuals wishing to join as members and use the service must complete and submit the required information on the membership application form provided by Teacher’s Hub.
- 2. All member information provided in the online application form is considered to be accurate. Failure to provide real names or accurate information may result in restrictions on service use or a lack of legal protection.
- 3. Members seeking to use the service from regions outside Korea must agree to the transfer of their personal data to Korea and its processing within Korea.
Article 6 (Acceptance of Application for Use)
- 1. Applications for use, as outlined in Article 5, will be accepted in the order they are received, provided there are no legal reasons prohibiting acceptance.
- 2. Teacher’s Hub may refuse to accept applications in the following cases:
- - When the application is not made under the applicant’s real name
- - When another person’s name is used for the application
- - When false information is provided, false documents are submitted, or when required information as specified by Teacher’s Hub is not provided
- - When the application is made with the intent to disrupt public order or social morals
- - When the applicant has previously lost membership status under Article 14, Section 4 of these Terms
- - When approval is impossible due to the applicant’s fault or violations of other stipulated regulations
- - When the application does not meet the requirements set by Teacher’s Hub
Article 7 (Modification of Services)
- 1. Teacher’s Hub may modify the services it provides for operational or technical reasons if there is a substantial justification.
- 2. In the event of changes to the content, usage methods, or availability of the services, Teacher’s Hub will post the reasons for the change, details of the modified services, and the effective date of the change on the initial screen for at least seven days prior to the change.
- 3. In the case described in Paragraph 2, if the changes are significant or disadvantageous to the users, Teacher’s Hub will notify the users receiving the affected services in accordance with the method specified in Article 8 [Notification to Members] and will obtain their consent. In such cases, Teacher’s Hub will continue to provide the services as they were before the changes to users who do not consent. However, if it is not feasible to continue providing the services, the contract may be terminated.
Article 8 (Notification to Members)
- 1. Teacher’s Hub may notify members via the electronic mail address they provided.
- 2. For notifications to all members, Teacher’s Hub may post the information on its bulletin board for at least seven days, as a substitute for the notification method described in Paragraph 1. However, for matters that significantly impact transactions of members, notifications will be made in accordance with Paragraph 1.
Chapter 3: Obligations of the Parties
Article 9 (Obligations of Teacher’s Hub)
- 1. In accordance with these Terms, we will continuously strive to provide stable and reliable services and will promptly repair or restore any malfunctions or losses of facilities. However, in cases of natural disasters, emergencies, or other unavoidable circumstances, services may be temporarily suspended or discontinued. For operational or technical reasons that are necessary and substantial, Teacher’s Hub may modify all or part of the services. In the event of modifications to all or part of the services, the provisions of Article 7, Paragraph 3 will be applied.
- 2. If suggestions or complaints raised by members through the prescribed procedures are deemed justified, Teacher’s Hub will address them through appropriate procedures.
- 3. Teacher’s Hub will endeavor to provide convenience to users in matters related to the conclusion, modification, and termination of contracts, as well as other contractual procedures and details.
- 4. Teacher’s Hub will comply with applicable laws related to the operation and maintenance of its services, including the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and the Personal Information Protection Act.
Article 10 (Obligations of Members)
- 1. Members must comply with the provisions set forth in these Terms, as well as any notices or guidelines provided by Teacher’s Hub regarding service use or precautions. Members also must not engage in any activities that interfere with the operation of Teacher’s Hub. If a member violates the provisions or spirit of these Terms or causes risk or legal harm to Teacher’s Hub, Teacher’s Hub may suspend the provision of all or part of its services. Members may delete their accounts at any time.
- 2. Members are responsible for managing their member IDs and passwords, and they are responsible for all consequences resulting from the intentional or negligent misuse of their ID by third parties. However, if such consequences are caused by the intentional or negligent actions of Teacher’s Hub, Teacher’s Hub will be liable.
- Teacher’s Hub may restrict the use of an ID in the following cases.
- - If there is a risk of personal information leakage
- - If the use of the ID contravenes public order or morals
- - If there is a risk of leaking Teacher’s Hub's business information
- 3. Members must adhere to the usage restrictions specified in service notices posted by Teacher’s Hub or communicated via email.
- 4. Members may not engage in commercial activities using the services without prior consent from Teacher’s Hub. It is not responsible for any results arising from such unauthorized commercial activities. If Teacher’s Hub incurs damages due to such activities, the member shall be held liable for damages.
- 5. Members may not transfer or assign their rights to use the service, or any other contractual status, to others without the prior consent of Teacher’s Hub, nor may they use these rights as collateral.
- 6. Although Teacher’s Hub will make every effort to maintain security, it cannot guarantee safety if members engage in the following actions. For security purposes, members must not engage in the following activities in relation to the use of the service:
- - Using or attempting to use another member's ID and password
- - Reproducing, publishing, broadcasting, or otherwise using information obtained through the service for purposes other than personal use without prior consent from Teacher’s Hub
- - Distributing or transmitting vulgar, obscene, hateful, or violent content that violates public order and morals via messages, posts, or other means
- - Distributing or transmitting content that is insulting or threatening and infringes on others’ privacy
- - Engaging in illegal, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory activities through the service
- - Transmitting or posting information prohibited by relevant laws (e.g., computer programs)
- - Engaging in actions that disable or excessively burden the service, such as denial-of-service attacks
- - Using automated means without the permission of Teacher’s Hub (e.g., collection bots, robots, spiders, scrapers) to collect user content or information, or accessing it by other methods
- - Posting or sending materials containing software viruses, other computer codes, files, or programs designed to disrupt or destroy the normal operation of computer software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment
- - Engaging in commercial activities using Teacher’s Hub’s services by posting advertisements or promotional content targeted at an unspecified number of individuals, or by sending spam emails, etc.
- - Sending junk mail, chain letters, or soliciting membership in pyramid schemes, or publishing or disclosing information contrary to public morals
- - Impersonating or misrepresenting Teacher’s Hub employees or administrators by posting, registering, modifying content, or sending emails
- - Engaging in activities that are objectively connected to criminal conduct
- - Collecting or storing personal information of other users without Teacher’s Hub’s approval
- - Encouraging or promoting violations of these Terms
- - Engaging in any other actions that violate relevant laws
Chapter 4: Service Use
Article 11 (Service Content)
- 1. The content of the services provided by Teacher’s Hub is as follows:
- - Lecture information publication services
- - Support services for new online/offline lectures
- - Various services related to education
- 2. The content of the services may be added to or changed in accordance with the policies of Teacher’s Hub.
Article 12 (Provision of Information)
Users may receive information regarding Teacher’s Hub's internal services and announcements via email or mobile phone text messages. However, responses to inquiries from members may be excluded from this provision.
Article 13 (Service Availability)
The service is generally available 24/7 throughout the year, provided that there are no specific operational or technical impediments encountered by Teacher’s Hub. However, periods designated by Teacher’s Hub for scheduled maintenance or other necessary reasons are exceptions to this availability. Teacher’s Hub reserves the right to divide the service into specific segments and set separate availability times for each segment. In such cases, prior notice will be provided to inform users of the details.
Article 14 (Suspension of Service Provision, etc.)
- 1. Teacher’s Hub may suspend the provision of services in the following circumstances:
- - In the event of maintenance, inspection, replacement, or malfunction of information and communication facilities, or disruption of communication, Teacher’s Hub may, as necessary, temporarily suspend the provision of services.
- - In the event that a telecommunications service provider suspends telecommunications services for the period specified under the Telecommunications Business Act.
- - In cases of other force majeure circumstances
- 2. Teacher’s Hub may restrict or suspend all or part of its services in the event of a national emergency, power outage, service equipment malfunction, or surge in service usage that impairs the normal provision of services.
- 3. When Teacher’s Hub restricts or suspends service usage pursuant to the provisions of Paragraphs 1 and 2, it shall promptly notify members of the reasons and duration of such restriction or suspension through notices on Teacher’s Hub or via email or other methods. However, in cases where prior notification is not feasible due to unavoidable circumstances, notification may be provided after the fact.
Chapter 5: Termination of Contract and Usage Restrictions
Article 15 (Termination of Contract and Usage Restrictions)
- 1. If a member wishes to terminate the service contract, they may either immediately execute the account deletion online or send a request for account deletion via email. If a member proceeds with account deletion via email, there will be a processing period for the request. Members may request termination of their service agreement at any time through the customer service section or the "My Information Management" menu on the service's main screen. Teacher’s Hub will process such requests promptly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- 2. In the event of contract termination by the member, Teacher’s Hub will, immediately delete all data associated with the member, except where it is necessary to retain member information in accordance with applicable laws and privacy policies.
- 3. In the event of contract termination by the member, all posts registered under the member's account will be deleted. However, posts and related content that are associated with ongoing processes will not be deleted.
- 4. Teacher’s Hub may terminate the user agreement, suspend the service, or impose other restrictions on service use if a member violates the obligations outlined in Article 9 of these Terms or other obligations stipulated in these Terms.
Supplementary Provisions
Article 1 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms)
These Terms shall take effect on July 15, 2024, and shall apply to all members, including those who registered prior to any amendments to these Terms.
