Privacy Policy

1. Status of Personal Information Collection and Use

At the time of registration, we collect the following minimum personal information necessary for membership registration and the provision of various services:

Teacher’s Hub installs and operates devices that automatically collect personal information, such as cookies, to periodically store and retrieve user information. A cookie is a small text file sent by the server operating Teacher’s Hub’s website to the user’s browser that is then stored on the user’s computer hard drive.
Teacher’s Hub uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes.

Purpose of Using Cookies and Similar Technologies

To analyze the frequency of access and visit times of both members and non-members, determine user preferences and interests, track user activity, and assess participation in various events and visit frequency in order to provide targeted and personalized services.

Method for Refusing Cookie Settings

Users have the option to choose whether to accept cookies.
However, if users choose to refuse cookies, certain services may not be available.
To refuse cookie settings, users can select options in their web browser to either accept all cookies,
receive a prompt every time a cookie is stored, or reject the storage of all cookies.

2. Matters Concerning the Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Teacher’s Hub uses users' personal information within the scope notified under the "Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information" and, in principle, does not disclose users' personal information to external parties without prior consent. However, exceptions apply in the following cases.

1) When the user has provided prior consent

  • - If a member consents and applies for a new course, their resume will be disclosed to third parties.
  • - Users may choose not to consent to the provision of their personal information to third parties or may withdraw their consent at any time. However, in such cases, there may be limitations on the use of certain services related to the provision of information to third parties.

※ Teacher’s Hub may provide personal information to relevant authorities without the data subject's consent in the event of emergencies, such as disaster, infectious disease, incident or accident that pose immediate risks to life or bodily harm, or urgent property damage.

3. Personal Information Destruction Procedures and Methods

After the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been achieved, or if a user requests withdrawal or withdraws consent, Teacher’s Hub will retain the personal information for a certain period to verify the completion of transactions, such as payment of instructor fees, and then proceed to destroy the information.
When it is necessary to retain personal information pursuant to the provisions of relevant laws and regulations, Teacher’s Hub will retain the personal information for the duration specified by those laws and regulations.

  • - The user's personal information is transferred to a separate database (or a separate filing cabinet for paper records) after the purpose has been fulfilled and is stored securely. It will be retained for a specified period or destroyed immediately in accordance with internal policies and relevant laws and regulations. The personal information transferred to the database will not be used for any purposes other than those specified by law.

2) Method of Destruction

  • - Personal information printed on paper is destroyed either by shredding or incineration.
  • - Personal information stored in electronic file formats is deleted using technical methods that render the records irretrievable.

4. Rights, Obligations, and Exercise of Data Subjects

  • 1. Data subjects may exercise their rights to access, correct, delete, or request the suspension of the processing of their personal information at any time with Teacher’s Hub. If a data subject does not consent to the processing of their personal information by Teacher’s Hub, they may refuse consent or request membership cancellation (account termination). However, in such cases, access to some or all of the services may be restricted.
    • 1) Methods for Viewing, Correcting, or Terminating Personal Information on the Website
    • - Users can view, correct, or terminate their personal information through the [My Profile] menu on the website.
  • 2. The exercise of rights may also be carried out through a legal representative or an authorized agent appointed by the data subject. In such cases, a power of attorney must be submitted.
  • 3. Requests for access to personal information and suspension of processing may be subject to limitations on the data subject's rights under Articles 35(4) and 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.
  • 4. Requests for correction and deletion of personal information cannot be made if the information is explicitly designated as a subject of collection under other laws and regulations.
  • 5. When a request is made to Teacher’s Hub for access to personal information, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing, the identity of the requester, whether the individual or a legitimate representative, will be verified.

5. Measures for Personal Information Protection

The following technical, administrative, and physical measures are implemented to ensure the security of personal information:

  • 1. Establishment and Implementation of Internal Management Plans
    • - Teacher’s Hub has established and implements internal management plans to ensure the protection of personal information.
  • 2. Minimization and Training of Personnel Responsible for Personal Information Protection
    • - We have designated a person responsible for protecting personal information and are implementing measures to manage personal data by minimizing its use.
  • 3. Restriction on Access to Personal Information
    • - We take necessary measures to control access to personal information by granting, modifying, or revoking access permissions for the database systems that handle personal data. We also use an intrusion prevention system to block unauthorized external access.
  • 4. Retention of Access Logs and Prevention of Tampering or Forgery
    • - We retain and manage records of access to the personal information processing system (i.e., web logs and summary data) for a minimum of two years. Also, security features are employed to prevent tampering, theft, or loss of these access records.
  • 5. Encryption of Personal Information
    • - The personal information of users is encrypted for storage and management. We also employ separate security measures, such as encrypting important data during storage and transmission.
  • 6. Technical Measures Against Hacking and Other Threats
    • - Teacher's Hub has implemented security programs to prevent the leakage of personal information or damage caused by hacking or computer viruses. These programs are regularly updated and inspected. The systems are installed in areas with restricted external access, and are monitored and blocked both technically and physically. In addition, we control network traffic and detect attempts to unlawfully alter information.
  • 7. Access Control for Unauthorized Persons
    • - We have established and operate access control procedures for a designated physical storage location where personal information systems are kept.

Users may report any personal information protection-related complaints arising from their use of Teacher’s Hub services to the Personal Information Protection Officer or the Customer Service Department. 7. Duty of Notification

In the event that changes to the current Privacy Policy are necessary, Teacher’s Hub will notify users of the revised Privacy Policy at least seven days prior to its implementation.
The changes will be communicated through the Announcements section of the website.
